Timpson FFA Heifer Show Team Competes in National Junior Santa Gertrudis Show

July 31, 2018 - Members of the Timpson FFA Heifer Show team traveled to Texarkana Arkansas this past month and competed at the 2018 National Junior Santa Gertrudis Show. Baylor Kimbro (7th grade) won the honors of National Reserve Grand Champion and was top of his class with his other heifers.

FFA News - Parents that have kids signed up to show at the 2018 Poultry Festival have a mandatory meeting August 7th at 6:00 p.m. at the County Extension Office in Center, Texas and Margo Hooper has forms at the Ag Shop that they need to come fill out by Tuesday, July 31st. They can call Mrs. Hooper at the Ag Shop at 936-558-4211 if they have questions or concerns.

Panola College Offers Beginning Yoga Classes

July 9, 2018 - Panola College/Shelby College Center is offering Beginning Yoga classes – July 16 – August 22. The class will meet Monday and Wednesday. We will be offering two sessions for the summer (10:35 am – 11:35 am or 5:05 pm – 6:05 pm). The cost of the class is $45.00 and pre-registration is required. High School Scholarship Program – tonight, May 17th – 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium

Biology News – Mrs. Teresa Jourden reports that the Biology classes created their own cells this week! Students were able to identify the organelles that make up the cell and know that each organelle has a specific function that is required to help maintain balance within the system.
