Dianne Lynch Livingston was born in Center, Texas on September 16, 1950. She entered Heaven’s gates on April 21, 2019.
Her great ambition in life was to be the best wife, and kind of mother she never had, and have the close family devotion that she longed for growing up.
She married the love of her life, Ricky, at 16 years of age, and together raised two sons, Wesley and Bryan. Dianne was long time dedicated member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. A loving mother and homemaker, Dianne was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially for Sunday dinner. Dianne was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandma.

Calvin Samuel Foy Sr., 64, of Center, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019, in Nacogdoches.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2019, at Foy Cemetery in Robert, LA with Bro. Jason Hebert officiating.
Mr. Foy was born August 23, 1955, in Independence, to Ernest Foy and Albertine Lavign Foy. Mr. Foy enjoyed working with his cattle, working on his cars, building all types of things, and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Foy was of the Pentecostal faith.

Dennis “Rooster” Shaeffer passed away on April 18, 2019 in Shelbyville,TX.
Dennis was a United States Coast Guard veteran, serving as a Tactical Law Enforcement Officer. He proudly served his community and his country doing supply, disaster, and rescue operations during hurricanes Florence and Harvey with the Cajun Navy Relief, Texas Native team, and BearPaw TacMed.
He had pride in his family and his community, serving to honor both during his service in the Coast Guard as well as during his time working urban disaster response. He had a great sense of duty toward those he helped, and made it his personal mission to help as many people as possible in their time of need, no matter the cause, while serving with honor and integrity.
He was a proud family man whose family was always on his mind as he was helping others. His heart was always with his beautiful wife and children as he served.
He was also a highly acclaimed bass player with John Cessac and the Texas Outlaws, and played because of his love of music.
Dennis was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Hannah Shaeffer and Nestor and Maria Labrada, his uncle Fernando Labrada and his beloved dog Dallas.

Kenneth Johnson, Sr., 75, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2019 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on August 27, 1943 to William A. Johnson and Leatris E. Hicks Johnson. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Kenneth grew up in Port Lavaca, Texas and graduated from Calhoun High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he valiantly served his country in the Vietnam War. Kenneth thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting and shooting guns.

Walter Anderson, 73, of Joaquin, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in Houston.

Mr. Anderson was born January 30, 1946, in New Gulf, Texas, to Elmer David Anderson and Velma Dee Gaddis Anderson. His hobbies included hunting and riding horses.

Martin “Marty” Craig Tipton, 59, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on April 14, 2019 in Timpson, Texas. He was born on February 20, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Harvey Tipton and Beth Bush Tipton. Marty grew up in Timpson where he spent the most precious and treasured moments of his life with his family. His most trusted canine companion that was always by his side was his dog, “Coco.” Marty had a passion for music and was a talented pianist. He also had in interest in old cars and in his spare time enjoyed fishing. He was an excellent cook and loved any time spent in the kitchen. One of his most admirable qualities was his heart for others. Marty always reached out to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate.

Audrey Faye (Furra) Taylor passed away at Twin Lakes Nursing Home in San Augustine, Texas on April 13, 2019. She was born May 21, 1930 in Nacogdoches County Texas to Grady and Ada (Byrd) Furra. She was married to the love of her life John Byron Taylor on April 2, 1949.
Funeral will be at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in San Augustine, Texas on Monday April 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior and burial at Antioch Cemetery in San Augustine, Texas. Brother Robert Prothro will conduct the services.
Audrey is survived by a son John Taylor Jr and wife Mary of Port Neches, a daughter Belinda Coulter and husband Lafher of San Augustine, a grandson Henry Coulter and wife Cynthia of The Woodlands, a great grand-daughter Madison Coulter of The Woodlands, Special Friend Carrie Washington, step-grandson Jason Beck, numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Audrey worked at Texaco in Port Arthur, Texas for several years and then was a housewife. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 64 years, a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and before that served as a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, as an active member of the PTA serving as President for several years and later volunteered at San Augustine Elementary School for 5 years. Audrey loved her Lord and Savior, family, friends, birdwatching, bowling, sewing and shopping.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Taylor, parents Ada and Grady Furra, sisters Mavis Muller, Adelle Bobo and Bobbie Galloway, sister in law Mamie Ruth Shofner and nephew Melvin Bobo Jr, niece Karla Taylor, and great nephew David Bobo.

James Edward Flori, 79, of Timpson, Texas passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, surrounded by loved ones. Born November 28, 1939, in Colorado to the late George Flori and Dorothy (Bartels) Flori.
Funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, April 15, 2019, at Taylor Funeral Home, 511 Ross Graves Dr., Timpson, Texas, with Bro. Ronnie Sowell officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery, Timpson, Texas.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday April 15, 2019 beginning at 12 PM, at Taylor Funeral Home.
James was born and raised in Colorado. He joined the United States Navy in 1955, and proudly served his country for over 23 years before retiring. James was a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. He was commended with many medals during his service. After retiring from the Navy, James opened and operated A1 Air Conditioning Services in Marshall, Texas for many years.
James was an avid race car driver and loved any and everything about race cars. He also enjoyed traveling. James was a concealed handgun instructor teaching many about protection. He was a collector of swords of many styles, and mini race cars. James had a love for music. He showed this love by sponsoring a band at the Hayride in Carthage, and he was a proud supporter of the Tex Ritter Hall of Fame. James found great joy spending time with his pal “Lexie”, family and friends.

Friends and Family are invited to the memorial services for Joycelyn Marie Todd to be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at her residence located at 2076 County Rd 4789 in Timpson, TX 75975 at 1:00pm. Joy passed away peacefully in Missouri City, TX on Monday, April 8, 2019.
Born October 19, 1931, in New Iberia, LA, Joycelyn Marie Robicheaux was the daughter of the late Clarence (Jack) Robicheaux and Yola Louviere Robicheaux. When Joy was 22, while working for Ford, her brother Carroll set her up on a blind date with William (Bill) H. Todd. Joy and Bill were married a year later on May 29, 1955 in New Iberia. They raised their five children in Houston, and eventually retired to Timpson, TX in 1986.
While it was an adjustment moving to the “country”; Joy met some wonderful people who shared in her love of gardening, playing bridge and quilting. She enjoyed hosting dinners and high teas for family and friends over the years. She loved arts and crafts, such as painting and sewing. Joy loved being surrounded by family at the “farm” and keeping her ten grandchildren for extended visits.
After the death of her husband, Bill, Joy moved to Missouri City, where she loved watching her beloved Astros and Texans on TV as well as attending games. Some of her favorite past times included playing chicken foot, card games, watching old movies and going out to eat. Joy was an avid reader, spending most of her days curled up with a good book. She was extremely charismatic and personable; Joy loved a good joke and never met a stranger.

Dr. Tatum passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on February 25, 1931. Funeral services for Jeanette C. Brittain, 72, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Ryan Chapel Cemetery in Diboll.
Mrs. Brittain was born January 9, 1947 in Corrigan, Texas, the daughter of the late Gleno (Cook) and Homer Bishop Crain. She died Sunday, April 7, 2019 in a Lufkin hospice facility.
Mrs. Brittain had operated Jan’s Ceramics for more than 10 years and was also a retired Hallmark distributor. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Brittain loved to paint, loved to fish, and loved her dogs. She had lived in Lufkin for more than 43 years.

Delbert Wheeler, 86, of Houston, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2019, in Houston.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Minister Norris Dudley officiating. Interment will follow at Powdrill Cemetery in Shelby County. Visitation will be held prior to service, beginning at noon.
Mr. Wheeler was born September 27, 1932, in the Arcadia Community of Shelby County to John Edwin Wheeler and Cletis Goolsby Wheeler. “Cotton,” as he was known, grew up a farmer’s son, planting and growing just about anything. He had a great love for John Deere tractors. Later, he joined the United States Air Force and worked as an aircraft mechanic. This experience led him to a 35 year career with CRC Corporation. He began there as a mechanic, then acquired his corporate pilot license, and went on to fly over 10,000 hours for the company. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Given everything he was able to accomplish, his most prized accomplishment was his family. Mr. Wheeler loved his family more than anything.

Fred Fermon McDaniel, 83, of Tenaha, Texas passed away on April 5, 2019 in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on August 8, 1935 in the Bobo Community of Shelby County to Fred Jackson McDaniel and Dovie D. Keith McDaniel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery.
A visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Mangum Funeral Home.
Fred grew up in Timpson where he attended Timpson ISD before enlisting in the United States Army. As a teen, Fred met Mary Tindol and the two became friends enjoying one another’s company. Friendship grew into love and after Fred returned home from the military, he married Mary on August 13, 1960. Fred and Mary had a beautiful and blessed marriage for 58 years. Fred was a carpenter by trade and loved doing woodwork. He was very crafty and creative. He also loved spending time in the outdoors soaking in God’s creations while fishing and gardening.
Fred was a man of many talents, two of which were painting and playing guitar. More than any activity, job or hobby, Fred treasured his moments surround by his grandchildren. They were his true pride and joy. No matter what Fred was doing, you could guarantee he would be giving 110% of himself. He was a selfless and caring individual who had a love for the Lord, his family and the numerous people he met throughout his life.

Maxie L. Coody, 68, of Joaquin, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Houston.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Jody Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Mr. Coody was born April 4, 1950, in Saline, Louisiana, to James Coody and Maudie Lucky. He retired from the United States Army after serving three tours in Vietnam and later retired from KLLM Trucking. He loved guns, hunting, and animals. Mr. Coody was a member of VFW Post 8904 in Center and First Baptist Church of Haslam.

Mickie Sneed Hewitt, age 68, passed away on April 2, 2019 in Shreveport, LA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Rev. Robert Leach will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Interment will follow the service at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mickie was born December 16, 1950 to Carl Sneed and Polly Hines Hall, in Jonesboro, LA. Mickie graduated from Logansport High School and went on to earn her Master’s in Education from Lamar University. She was a teacher and a special education diagnostician for the Desoto Parish School Board. Mickie was lovingly devoted to her children and family and had an immense love for learning and traveling.
Mickie is preceded in death by her father, Carl Sneed.

William J. “Don” Moore, aka East Texas Plowboy, 81, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 in Hemphill Care Center.
Don was born in Shelby County on August 12, 1937 to Amos and Laverne Moore. He spent most of his younger years in Shelby County until he met his bride-to-be, Lena Ratcliff in Bay Springs, Mississippi while working on a pipeline. They were married 62 years January 21, 2019. They came back to Texas and he worked at Livingston Shipyard in Orange, Texas. They returned to Shelby County in the latter part of 1957. In 1958, their first child, Becky, was born in Center, Texas. Don started working for Temple Industries in 1958 and moved to Pineland, Texas and took P. O. Box 262 which they still have at this time. He worked at Temple Industries in maintenance where he learned to drive a truck. He came to be a devoted truck driver, and during this time a son, William, Jr., was born and passed away in 1959. A daughter, Vicki was born in 1960, a son, Donald was born in 1961, and a daughter, Sheri, was born in 1963.
Don drove trucks for Temple, Lone Star, McAlister, Bilbo, Matco, Sammy Crain, and Keller Industries. In 1986/87, he purchased his own cab over Freightliner with Bilbo and numerous other trucks. He purchased a Kenworth and leased on to Gooch Trucking, Bob Conner, and Whitton Trucking. After that, he became self employed with his rig, hauling lumber out of Temple Inland and Georgia Pacific. He retired at the age of 78 years old in 2015. He never worked a day in his life. Most people would say he enjoyed his hobby of driving his Kenworth truck, he never wanted to give it up because he loved driving so much. He was and always will be the one and only East Texas Plowboy.
Don was saved and baptized into the Missionary Baptist faith and was a member of Bethel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pineland, Texas. He truly loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lena Mae Moore of Bronson, Texas; son, Donald Moore of Bronson, Texas; daughters, Becky Ellison and husband, Butch, of Bronson, Texas, Vicki Moore and Marty Forse of Black Ankle, Texas, and Sheri Hanks and husband, Orasha, of San Augustine, Texas; He is survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and blessed with two great-great granddaughters that are fifth generation; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special three-legged cat, Sparky.
He is also survived by brothers, K. F. (Cotton) Moore and Rodney Moore, both of Hemphill, Texas; sisters, Carolyn Horne of Geneva, Texas, Shirley Jasper and husband, Glenn, of Bowie, Texas, Diane Clark of Hemphill, Texas, Mary Collis of Hemphill, Texas, and Helen Jacks and husband, Mark, of Pineland, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Laverne Moore, son, William J. Moore, Jr. two granddaughters, Brandy and Mandy; and great grandson, Issac Shivers. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Paul Moore; sister, Juanita Amason and her husband, Bobby; sisters-in-law, Shawnee Moore and Thersea Moore; and brothers-in-law, Carl Horne and Roland Eugene Clegg.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 in Starr Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright and Bro. Dave Digmon officiating.
Burial will follow services in West Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas with Don’s grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Hardy and Claude Lindsey.

David Lamar Mooney, 77, of Live Oak, Texas, passed away on April 1, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 26, 1941 in Center, Texas to Lawrence H. “Bob” Mooney and Lonita Carnahan Mooney.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Center, Texas with Linda Searcy officiating.
David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin before pursuing a career as a teacher. He also had a passion for the arts which carried him to another career in acting. His filmography is extensive from the 1970’s through the present. Some of his most notable films are The Baby, from 1973, Chaplain, from 1992, and most recently, My All-American, from 2015, as well as many television commercials. David’s acting career allowed him the opportunity to become a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He continued working as a teacher as well for twenty years and even after retirement, he remained a substitute to stay connected to the students that he loved so much. David was a genuine, kind-hearted individual who never met a stranger. Every person he encountered during his life’s journey can speak of the positive memories David left with them.
David is survived by:

James Ray Williams, 74, of Gilmer, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Gilmer.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center, with Bro. Chris Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Mr. Williams was born September 29, 1944, in Shelby County to Comer Arden Williams and Gracie Odell Mobley Williams. He served in the United States Army and later retired from IBM as a service representative. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. He was of the Baptist faith.
