Johnathon Edward Martin, Jr., 30, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2017. He was born on February 16, 1987 in Houston, Texas to John Edward Martin and Sonja Gail (Collins) Rolfes.  Funeral Service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, Texas.  Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11AM at Taylor Funeral Home.  A private family interment will be held.

Johnathon moved to Timpson at an early age. He graduated from Timpson High School as a member of the Class of 2005. He met the love of his life, Samantha Abbate Martin, in November 2013. Three short months later, he asked her if she would move to Nacogdoches. The two have remained faithfully by one another’s side, building their dreams as a family. Their first-born child, Makynlie Claire was born March 2015. She had her Daddy wrapped around her finger and brought such joy to their lives. She was a true “Daddy’s girl.” In October 2017, the family of three welcomed another blessing, Kamden Cole Martin, a sweet, beautiful boy who Johnathon loved beyond words.

Johnathon was a very hard working young man. He worked two jobs, one of which was a company started by him and his father, John, in November 2015.  Martin & Martin Trucking was a vision Johnathon had that he had hoped would one day be the sole provision for him and his entire family. It was his dream to build the company from the ground up into a full functioning corporation.

While Johnathon was a focused and determined young man, he also took time to breathe and enjoy life. He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, knee-boarding, spending time at the lake and playing football. Above all, the greatest treasures of his life were his children. Johnathon’s favorite moments were those spent holding his baby girl and his newborn son. There is a bond between them that will never be broken.

Lillian “Lily” Alexandra Reynolds, 17, of Center, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2017 in Center. She was born on June 19, 2000 in Nacogdoches to Philip Taylor Reynolds and Linda Joy Allen. Funeral Services for Lily will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Brister, Bro. Lacey Andrews, and Bro. Terry Goodnight officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel.

Lily grew up in Center and attended Center ISD. She was proud to be a Roughrider and was involved in numerous activities and organizations such as Theatre, Band, and Spanish Club. She was also a Chaparral and manager for the CHS Cheerleaders. Lily dreamed of becoming a Special Effects Makeup Artist and Cosmetologist. She absolutely loved doing hair and makeup. Anyone that allowed her could get a full makeover from the eyebrows to the make-up, to the hairstyle. More than beautifying others, Lily was content knowing she made their day brighter and what a ray of sunshine she was! Lily was small in stature, but her heart was tremendous. She had so much love and compassion for people that it overflowed onto anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Lily adored her family and friends which she dedicated most of her time to each day. Tia Lily, as her numerous nieces and nephews would call her, treasured the fun moments spent with all “her babies.” There was no deeper connection than what Lily shared with her brothers and sisters. Although, as much as she loved each one, they all had to take a back seat to her little brother Levi. Those two have a bond that could never be broken.

Lily’s affection was not just for humans. This girl had a desire to help and save any and every animal she encountered. Some might describe her as a collector and not just a caregiver. You could be driving down the road and if Lily saw an abandoned or helpless animal, you can rest assured tears would be streaming and the car would pull over. There would be an extra passenger heading home with you, but that was Lily. No one had a heart like hers.

Lily knew her way around the kitchen and was a pro at spicy Mexican cuisine. You might be left with watery eyes and a runny nose, but you would be full and satisfied. Tacos were her absolute favorite. She also liked to spend time with her family skiing and snowboarding. She was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church.

Lily was full of life. The air was just easier to breathe with her lighthearted laughter and love around. Her smile was infectious. The darkest day would immediately brighten at the sight of Lily. Even when she was struggling, she would still manage to uplift others instead of dwelling on her own cares. Her vibrant presence will forever be missed among those who knew her.
