Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf funeral home in Nacogdoches.

When you think of Clifford you can't help but think what a generous man he was. Always willing to help someone out with his skills and talent. He was born in Nacogdoches and before High School graduation he answered the draft call to serve the United States Army. His training in the Army and graduation of Elkins Institute allowed him to become a good provider for his family. Clifford trained in the Army in the United States and also served in Germany. He was a communication technician by trade and worked for different companies in the industry including Western Union, World Com and Stewart and Stevenson.

Clifford was an honest man, true and faithful to his wife and family. He was a wonderful Christian and had a love for the Lord. It seemed like he never met a stranger and could always use a new friend. When he had free time you might have found him watching T.V. shows like "Hee-Haw", "Grand Ole Opry", and of course rooting for his favorite sports teams the "Cowboys" and "Rangers"! His favorite place to fellowship with friends and family was Golden Corral. His family, grandchildren and friends will miss him, his sense of humor and appreciate him for the way he loved life and will look forward to seeing him again.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, L. M. and Alice Brock; daughter, Susan J. Brock; and brother, James Norman Brock.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Taylor Brock; son, John Brock and wife Anne; grandchildren, Alex and Sarah Brock; uncle, Glen Mora and wife Aline and family; aunt, Eddie Houston and family, many cousins and friends, nieces and nephew; special cousins, Joye Hodges and family, Judy Hilton and family and special canine friend, "Tucker".

Many thanks to the medical staff who assisted in his time of need.
