April 21, 2016 - The JHS Softball game scheduled today vs Gary has been moved to tomorrow, Friday, 04/22 at 5:00 pm in Gary.
April 21, 2016 - All youth baseball and softball games for today, April 21, 2016 in Center, Joaquin, and Shelbyville are cancelled.
April 21, 2016 - The Lady Dragons will play in Shelbyville tonight, April 21 @ 7:00 pm vs West Sabine. Senior night will begin at 6:30 pm
April 21, 2016 - JHS Baseball Game vs. Beckville will be played tonight (04/21) at 6:30 at Gary High School.
April 20, 2016 - The High School Area Track Meet schedule has changed and will be held at Carthage High School on Friday, April 22, 2016.
Field events will begin at 9:30am with running events to begin at 1:30pm. The meet will conclude at about 3:30pm.
April 20, 2016 - After the Timpson Bears varsity baseball team started Tuesdays game with a 1-0 advantage, the Gary Bobcats used a 7-4 hitting advantage, and four Bears errors, to score 11 unanswered runs, and take a 11-1 win. The game was ended at the conclusion of the top of the fifth frame due to the UIL ten-run-rule.
THS scored first when Hayden Smith and Cutter Smith started the game with back-to-back singles. Later in the inning, Hunter Smith singled and drove in Hayden Smith.
In the bottom of the first inning, Cooper Watkins drove home Kenneth Andrews with an RBI single to tie the game. Levi Tanner next walked to load the bases. A costly throwing error soon cost the Bears big and three runs scored to give the Bobcats a 4-1 advantage. More walks and errors saw the Bears trailing 6-1 by the conclusion of the first inning.
A walk by Bear Shane Peveto was the only offense Timpson could get in the top of the second frame. The Bobcats 
extended their lead to 8-1 after THS started the inning with two errors, and GHS got two walks, and a hit from Cody Lake. Bears short stop Chandler Burgay made a spectacular double play to end the Bobcats at-bat.
Timpson went down 1-2-3 in the top of the third inning.
GHS extended their lead by one run in the bottom of the third frame with a score by Casin Daniels.Burgay started out the fourth inning with a lead off single but Gary's defense stiffened and kept the Bears scoreless during the inning.
Gary used a double by Odom and a single by Tanner Ransom to help score the final two runs of the game, and to gain the final 11-1 advantage.

Softball Game Re-scheduled
Today's softball game has been rescheduled due to rain. We will be playing tonight at 7pm in Cushing. Watch the Bear Updates for any further changes.
THS Girls District Track Meet
Timpson High School girls track team placed third in district. Nine members of the track team will compete in area track meet scheduled for April 20 in Beckville.
