December 13, 2018 - In reference to the KTRE article titled “Affidavit: Shelby County Jail trusty gave underage girl meth, sexually assaulted her,” a search warrant was NOT served on the Center Police Department. A search warrant was issued and then executed on two(2) digital devices that were recovered during the CPD’s initial investigation.

March 22, 2018 - Center Police Department’s K9 Taz has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of K9 Diezel, UMass Amherst Police Department”.

January 30, 2018 - Sgt. Christopher Knowlton, with his K9 “Elliott,” was patrolling the Florence Street area when he observed a known male subject. Upon running the subject’s name it was discovered that the subject (not named in this press release) was wanted, out of the Center Municipal Court.
