January 10, 2019 - A large turn out of the community attended the new member Ribbon Cutting for the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s newest member, East Texas Collision Center on Thursday, January 10th.
January 10, 2019 Huntsville, Texas - Dominique Roland received a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree during the Fall 2018 commencement ceremonies at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
Ms. Roland is a teacher at Shelbyville ISD and was selected Teacher of the Week in September 2018 by the football team. Ms. Roland has been teaching for a total of 10 years.
January 9, 2019 - Shelby County AgriLife Extension hosted an Elected Officials Luncheon on Friday, December 7, 2018 with 4-H officers providing the program.

December 21, 2018 - Town and Country invited the community to an open house on Wednesday, December 19th and asked those attending to vote on the best decorated Christmas door. The winning door was created by Bobbie Sue Scates whose realtor themed snowman offered a cozy (igloo) home for sale with a must sell by Spring fine print.
December 17, 2018 Tyler – The University of Texas at Tyler recently held its fall 2018 commencement ceremonies December 14 – 15. One thousand five hundred ten degree candidates were recognized in the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center and Brittany Caye Kimbro, of Timpson, was one of the candidates. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Kimbro has been the elementary school nurse at Timpson ISD since 2010.
