Aerial Video Update of Downtown Construction

September 30, 2020 - Shelby County Historian Walter Bounds has video documented another phase of the downtown construction on Wednesday, September 16th. The video highlights the opening of another completed corner of the square, the intersection of Nacogdoches Street and Austin Street, and the completely open Austin Street. Austin Street was one of the first streets closed when the construction began late last year shortly after the Poultry Festival ended.

TxDSHS Publishes School Reported COVID-19 Case Numbers

September 24, 2020 - The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) provided the following School Reported COVID-19 Case numbers for the week of September 14th through September 20th as well as the cumulative cases for students and staff.

COVID-19 Update for Shelby County: 19 New Cases, 6 Deaths Since Sept. 13

September 23, 2020 - As of Wednesday, September 23, 2020 the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reports Shelby County now has a cumulative case count of 474. The increase is 19 new cases since our last COVID-19 report on September 13, 2020. The cases had been a gradual increase until today's numbers surged with 11 new cases overnight.

Harvest for Home Food Pantry Produce Drop

September 22, 2020 - Tri-County Community will hold a Produce Drop tomorrow September 23, 2020, starting at 9am.

The process and procedures will remain the same as far as disbursement of food and sign-in. Anyone is able to receive produce and food items. The produce drop is located in the parking lot of the Wolf Plaza on the furthest end opposite of Ivan Smith Furniture (Where Sombrero’s used to be). The truck arrives around 9:00-9:30 a.m.
