Update: A donation account has been established at Shelby Savings Bank for Charles and Cathy Conway who lost their home and everything in it to fire yesterday, January 6th. The account is under Charles and Cathy Conway House Fire.

Town and Country Turns Open House into Fun Opportunity of Giving

December 21, 2018 - Town and Country invited the community to an open house on Wednesday, December 19th and asked those attending to vote on the best decorated Christmas door. The winning door was created by Bobbie Sue Scates whose realtor themed snowman offered a cozy (igloo) home for sale with a must sell by Spring fine print.

Kimbro One of More Than 1,500 Degree Candidates at Commencement

December 17, 2018 Tyler – The University of Texas at Tyler recently held its fall 2018 commencement ceremonies December 14 – 15. One thousand five hundred ten degree candidates were recognized in the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center and Brittany Caye Kimbro, of Timpson, was one of the candidates. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Kimbro has been the elementary school nurse at Timpson ISD since 2010.

Rotary Club Helping to Collect Toys for Operation Blue Santa

December 12, 2018 - During the last meeting of the Rotary Club of Center members brought toys to donate to Operation Blue Santa. Officer Damarcus Williams attended the meeting to accept the toys on behalf of Blue Santa.

Law Enforcement Locks Down Northeast Area of Center

December 1, 2018 - Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies have amassed on State Highway 7 in Center at the intersection of FM 2788 where they have blocked off all access in and out of that area since around 4:30pm Saturday.
