Commissioner Bellmyer Reports on Closed Roadway

February 15, 2019 - Due to all the rain since the first of the year, Precinct 4 Commissioner Tom Bellmyer reports FM 1970 South where the FM ends and County Road 4760 begins going into Rusk County is closed to through traffic.

The Farm to Market roadway is open, however, where it goes into the Attoyac River bottom it is closed at this time. Emergency responders, mail carriers, and residents living in the area can still get in and out.

January 10, 2019 Huntsville, Texas - Dominique Roland received a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree during the Fall 2018 commencement ceremonies at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

Ms. Roland is a teacher at Shelbyville ISD and was selected Teacher of the Week in September 2018 by the football team. Ms. Roland has been teaching for a total of 10 years.
