Community Caregivers Support Group Questionnaire

November 2, 2018 - On October 23rd a Community Caregivers Support Group was started and is seeking input from caregivers in the area. The group is wanting to put together a variety of lunch and learn programs which will provide information beneficial to those providing care for loved ones. The focus is adult care-giving and helping with challenges caregivers face.

November 2, 2018 - A Shelby County Today viewer shared a photo taken of the fall colors on display by his farm's pasture and pond near Joaquin.

Dave Campbell's Texas Football Salutes Shelbyville Dragons as Week 8 School of the Week

October 24, 2018 - Dave Campbell's Texas Football School of the Week presented by U.S. Army selected Shelbyville as the 2A school of the week for Week 8.

In the announcement, Shelbyville is described as follows: In a wild back-and-forth affair, the Dragons got six total touchdowns from QB Jaylon Brinson and held of a West Sabine in overtime, 44-42.

October 15, 2018 - The Shelbyville Lions Club Gun Raffle Fundraiser is going on now with 8 chances to win!

Ticket donation is $5 each or $20 for five (5) tickets. Guns are Stoeger M3500 Shot gun, Ruger AR15-556, Ruger LCP and Heritage RR 4.75 donated by K & L Construction, Ruger 10/22 with scope donated by JML Management, Inc., Golden Boy 22 donated by Raymond Motors and Construction, Youth Rossi 410 donated by Covington Lumber Company, Ruger 17HMR donated by 4C Electric, and a $200 gift basket donated by Denim and Lace Boutique.
