May 17, 2022 - Planning is underway for the 46th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 6-8th on the historic downtown Center square. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, September 16th. May 10, 2022 - All Hours Fitness recently completed its 6,000 square foot expansion and is having a Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, May 24th at 11:00am to show off the facility.

April 29, 2022 - Shred Day is scheduled for this Friday, April 29th from 10:00am until 2:00pm. The Shredding truck will be on the downtown square in front of the Chamber offices.

The Shredding service is provided free to the public as a service of the Shelby County Beautiful Clean program of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and our generous Sponsor, Farmers State Bank.

April 4, 2022 - Hopkins Wrecker Service is having a relocation Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, April 21 at 11am and the public is invited to attend and see the new facility.

Hopkins Wrecker Service has been in the towing business since 1979. Mark Hopkins, manager is a second generation tow operator having been in the industry for over 30 years.

April 8, 2022 - Time to start your Spring Cleaning. The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces there will be an Electronic Recycle Day on Friday, April 22nd and a Shred Day on Friday, April 29th.

You may take your electronics (only electronics) to R&J Recycling and Disposal on Friday, April 22nd between the hours of 8am and 4pm. R&J Recycling and Disposal is located at 306 FM 2468, right before you reach the Portacool plant. Volunteers will be available to help unload your vehicle.
