Chamber Plans New Member Ribbon Cutting for The Mootique

September 23, 2021 - The Chamber is excited to welcome owner Kailee Metcalf, with her business The Mootique to the Chamber of Commerce. Please join the Ambassadors in celebrating with a new member ribbon cutting on Thursday, September 30th at 10:30a.m.

The Mootique is a shop specializing in handmade children’s clothing, blankets, dolls and jewelry.

Join the Chamber Ambassadors in welcoming Kailee with her new business, The Mootique, to the Chamber and to Shelby County.

Junior Chamber of Commerce, Young Ambassadors Orientation kicks of 2021-2022 Year

September 30, 2021 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2021-2022 Junior Chamber of Commerce/Young Ambassador program is underway.  They were unable to meet last year.

The Orientation was held Wednesday, September 22 at the Historic Courthouse on the downtown square. Sherry Riley, was the guest speaker, providing everyone in attendance with a fun and very interesting history of the 1885 Courthouse.

ET Poultry Festival Doo Dah Parade; Center Tire Company to Sponsor

September 21, 2021 - Everyone loves a parade. The Poultry Festival Doo Dah Parade, will be held next week, Wednesday, September 29 at 5pm. 

The parade will circle the Historic Downtown Center Square, led by the Shelby County Junior Chamber of Commerce. Pre-registration for this popular event is not required just show up and join in the fun! 

Ride in your pick up, golf cart, on a bike, skateboard, walk – show up and have fun. Participants are to line up at the Farmers State Bank Drive-thru at 4:30 p.m. 

Next Gen to Honor Patriot Day with 1,000 Flags Downtown

September 8, 2021 - This Saturday marks the 20th Anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Across the United States, cities, towns, communities large and small and college campuses have been honoring the nearly 3,000 victims of this horrible tragedy by placing 3,000 flags in public spaces.

On Friday, September 10th, the Next Gen group, along with area Junior Chamber of Commerce students will place 1,000 on the historic courthouse lawn. The goal will be to have 3,000 flags next year and to continue with tradition.
