East Texas Poultry Festival Creative Arts Show Entry Deadline Noon Today

September 16, 2020 - The 44th East Texas Poultry Festival will be featuring local Creative Arts through the annual Creative Arts Show, sponsored by Drewery Construction. Don’t miss this opportunity to show your handiwork in art, crafts, woodworking, needlework and metal art etc,

All creative arts divisions have several classes of judging categories and are open to Elementary (Kindergarten through 5th grades), Youth (6th through 12th grades) and Adults that will be judged in separate divisions. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three places in each category.

Poultry Festival to Feature Wing Eating Competition

September 16, 2020 - If you love spicy foods and feel confident enough to take on a spicy challenge, sign up for the 2nd Annual Wing It – Wing Eating contest at the 2020 East Texas Poultry Festival, Sponsored by Tyson Foods. Windham Family Dental is the Award Sponsor.

The Wing It contest will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at 4:30, right before the Chicken Clucking Contest at the main stage. Registration will begin at 4pm. The first 12 to sign up will participate in the 2nd Annual Wing It Hot Wing Eating Contest.

First Responders Lunch Presented by McAdams Propane Today

Center Independent School District and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are hosting an Appreciation Lunch for First Responders, throughout Shelby County today between 11am and 1pm at the Center ISD bus barn located on Loop 500.

First Responders including police officers, department of public safety officers, constables, Sheriff Deputies, firemen, medics, Game Wardens and law enforcement officials will be honored guests.

East Texas Poultry Festival Plans Are Underway! New Plans for 2020

August 25, 2020 - Plans for the 2020 East Texas Poultry Festival, sponsored by Farmers State Bank, are under way, with some changes. We are going forward with plans for a fun and successful Poultry Festival following guidelines set out by the Federal and State government for a safe Festival.

This year’s Festival will take place October 1-3 at the Windham Civic Center. The Festival will be held outside. The Quilt Show, Photography Show and Creative Arts will be in the main convention room. There will be a Carnival.
