43rd Poultry Festival Arts, Crafts Vendors

July 29, 2019 - Planning is underway for the 43rd East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 3-5 on the historic downtown Center square. There are still spaces available for Arts and Crafts vendors. 

To receive an application and a copy of the guidelines call the Chamber office or go online to the Chamber website www.shelbycountychamber.com and find the Poultry Festival page under Events. 

43rd Poultry Festival Creative Arts Show

July 29, 2019 - The 43rd Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank, is right around the corner – October 3rd, 4th and 5th. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your creative side in art, quilting, canning, crafts, woodworking, metal art and photography.

All creative art divisions and are open to Youth (6th through 12th grades) and Adults (17 and older). The art division will also be open to Elementary (K – through 5th).

2nd Annual Poultry Festival Car Show

July 29, 2019 - Help Shelby County Chamber of Commerce kick off the Second Annual Poultry Festival Car and Motorcycle Show sponsored by Zack’s Tint Shop. The Show will be held on Saturday, October 5th as a part of the Poultry Festival Saturday activities. It will be held from 10:00am until 2:00pm on the downtown square. Enter your car and/or motorcycle, or just stop by and view the vehicles.

Tri-State Vacuum and Rental 100th Truck Celebration, Ribbon Cutting

June 14, 2019 - Please join the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Owners Troy and Abby Massey at Tri-State Vacuum and Rental’s 100th Truck Celebration and New Member Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, June 20th at 12noon. Tri-State Vacuum and Rental is located at 8204 US Hwy 59N in Tenaha. The public is invited to attend the celebration. The celebration will be held from 12noon until 2:00pm

Livestock Nutrition Center Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting

June 13, 2019 - Please join the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and the staff of the Livestock Nutrition Center at the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, June 13th, at 10:00am. The Livestock Nutrition Center is located at 7665 US Highway 96N in Tenaha. The public is invited to attend to celebrate. The Grand Opening Celebration will be held from 10:00am until 2:00pm. There will be FREE lunch, facility tours, door prizes and much more!

Center Floral & Gifts to Host Business After Hours

June 4, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors with Darcie Hays and Connie Belgard, of Center Floral & Gifts, will welcome Chamber members to a Business After Hours event on Tuesday, June 4th from 5:30 until 7:00pm at 135 Shelbyville Street on the downtown Center square.

Center Floral & Gifts will showcase their products and floral services while at the same time Chamber members will have an opportunity to network with each other in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

May 31, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces there will be a Leadership Conference on Wednesday, June 5th, at the Windham Civic Center from 10am until 1:00pm.

The guest speaker will be Marcus Cox, an Associate Professor of Management in the Rusche College of Business at Stephen F. Austin State University. The title of his presentation is Multiple Generations in the Workforce and Changing Demographic Trends: What’s a Manager to Do?

First Responders Appreciation Lunch Scheduled for May 17

May 15, 2019 - Center Independent School District and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host an Appreciation Lunch for First Responders, throughout Shelby County on Friday, May 17 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Center ISD bus barn located on Loop 500.

First Responders including police officers, department of public safety officers, constables, Sheriff Deputies, firemen, medics, Game Wardens and law enforcement officials will be honored guests.
