The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces that the Grill Fest sanctioned barbecue cook-off, presented by Farmers State Bank, will take place Saturday, April 8 on the grounds of the Windham Civic Center. The Gold Sponsors are Tyson Foods and Roughrider Tire Service.  Entertainment is sponsored by the Windham Civic Center.

March 14, 2017 - Leadership Shelby County chairman, Jason Locke, recently announced plans are underway for the Shelby County Day in Austin 2017 to be held April 5 & 6. The Texas Legislature recently convened for the 85th legislative session.
 
Citizens of Shelby County are being asked to form a delegation to travel to Austin to the Texas State Capitol to learn about various issues and agencies as well as make any state government concerns known to lawmakers.

February 17, 2017 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will join with Patrick Bresette, Executive Director; Cindy Ross, Community Health Outreach Coordinator and Maria Salas, Community Health Outreach Liaison, of the Children’s Defense Fund of Texas for a new member ribbon cutting at the Chamber of Commerce office on Wednesday, February 22 at 4:30 p.m.  

January 6, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the inaugural State of the City Address. Mayor David Chadwick, and the City of Center will present the 2017 forum that will showcase the City of Center in regards to economic and community development and will highlight a year in review for 2016 and an update on the City's progress and challenges as well as an outlook for the future in 2017.
