September 4, 2018 - A new member Ribbon Cutting and Celebration will be held for the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s newest member, Despino’s Tire Service. The Ribbon Cutting and celebration will be held on Friday, September 14th from 10am until 2pm. The actual Ribbon Cutting will be held at 10am. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs and great Give Aways which include 2 $500 Visa Gift Cards and a set of STT Pro Tires.

August 29, 2017 - The 41st East Texas Poultry Festival (ETPF) will be featuring local Creative Arts through the annual Creative Arts Show, sponsored by Scull Timber, along with a Can-A-Rama featuring local canned goods. The Creative Arts Committee has expanded this year’s show to include art, crafts, horticulture, woodworking and metal art along with photography, quilting and canning. 

August 21, 2018 - 936 Crossfit will present the Annual East Texas Poultry Festival 5K Chicken Run and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, October 6th.

The Chicken Trot, Sponsored by Cline Family Medicine will begin at 7:30am on the downtown square. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 7am. Pets are welcome on a leash and will follow runners.

August 21, 2018 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors with Elizabeth Pinkston, owner of Center Floral & Gifts, will welcome Chamber members to a Business After Hours event on Monday, August 27th from 5:30pm until 7pm at 135 Shelbyville Street on the downtown Center square.  

Center Floral & Gifts will showcase their products and floral services while at the same time Chamber members will have an opportunity to network with each other in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

August 10, 2018 - Planning is underway for the 42nd East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 4-6 on the historic downtown Center square, with chairmen Josh Payne, leading the steering committee. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, August 10.
