November 16, 2015 - The Shelbyville Dragons defeated the Big Sandy Wildcats in the Bi-District Championship game at Carthage High School Friday, November 13th.

The Dragons will play the Carlisle Indians Friday, November 20 at 7:30 pm at in the Area Championship game at Tatum High School. Admission is $6 (adult) $4 (student). Go Dragons! We Will Win!!

November 11, 2015 - Huxley Helping Hands, a local mission group from the Huxley Community, is holding a food pantry for the residents of Shelby Count. It will be held the second Saturday of November 2015. Proof of residency and ID will be required. Only one box per household will be given. Sign-in starts November 14th at 9am and will go until food is gone. We will be at Hillcreat Baptist Church 901 Southview Circle, Center, TX.

November 6, 2015 - The Shelbyville Dragon Players will present its dinner theater production of The Wizard of Oz Thursday, December 3, in the SHS Cafetorium.

October 30, 2015 - Shelbyville Student Council & the Shelbyville JCCs will be collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to the Shelby County Outreach. Please bring any non-perishable food items, such as can goods, rice, beans, cereal, peanut butter, pasta, flour, sugar, corn meal, bottled water and boxed dinners.

October 28, 2015 - The 2015 marching season has proven to be another successful one for the Shelbyville Dragon Military Marching Band. On October 17th, the Dragon Band earned 1st Division ratings from all three judges at the UIL Region 21 Marching Contest.

The 1st Division designation earned the band the opportunity to compete at the Area C Marching Contest, originally scheduled to be held at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. However, inclement weather forced the Area marching contest to be moved to the Indoor Facility at Carthage High School on October 24th.
