August 8, 2025 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries is pleased to announce new hours of operation for its Helping Hands Outreach Center. Starting Monday, August 11, 2025, our facility will be open from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

We are committed to feeding the hungry and assisting the needy in Shelby County, and these updated hours will allow us to do so more effectively. We would also like to remind all clients that they must be able to carry their own emergency food box or have someone with them who can carry it for them.

August 4, 2025 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries has free back to school shoes. Come see us at our corporate location located at 930 Shelbyville Street. Our hours are Monday through Friday from  10am to 2pm. For more information, you can call 936-598-4990.

July 28, 2025 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries' (SCOM) Senior Nutrition Site will be closed, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, for facility maintenance.

No meals will be served. We hope the site will resume its normal schedule on Wednesday, July 30.

July 3, 2025 - A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our BBQ Pork Fundraiser on June 27th. Because of your incredible generosity, the event was a wonderful success!

We are especially grateful for the outstanding support from our community partners: H & S Discount Grocery, Brookshire Brothers, Calvin & Sandra Baker, Heart2Heart Hospice, Pine Grove Nursing Home, A Pinewoods, Harbor Hospice, Noble Children Services, Ihlo Sales, Christian Love & Hope Clinic Pharmacy.

June 30, 2025 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries, Inc. announced today that its offices and all programs will be closed on Friday, July 4th, 2025, in observance of Independence Day.
