April 20, 2016 - Nacogdoches, Texas– Nacogdoches Medical Center is pleased to announce that Philip Koovakada, MSN, MSHCA, has been named Chief Operating Officer of the health network. He assumed the role on April 11th, 2016.

December 9, 2015 - Each year, Nacogdoches Medical Center staff and physicians come together to make Christmas a little merrier for local children in need. Last year, over 90 children received gifts collected and donated by NMC staff and physicians through our Angel Tree program. Local agencies who have partnered with NMC include CASA, Head Start, Cross Bridge Ranch and Crossover Counseling.

June 5, 2015 - Nacogdoches Medical Center continues its commitment to bringing high quality acute medical care to the residents of East Texas with an investment of over $2 million for the construction of a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This 8-bed Level II NICU will provide the expertise, compassion and support needed to achieve the best possible outcomes for premature and critically-ill newborns.

May 10, 2015 - Comparison Ratings that Help Consumers Compare and Choose Among Hospitals

Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the first time introduced star ratings on Hospital Compare, the agency’s public information website, to make it easier for consumers to choose a hospital and understand the quality of care they deliver. Today’s announcement builds on a larger effort across HHS to build a health care system that delivers better care, spends health care dollars more wisely, and results in healthier people.
