Nacogdoches Medical Center Named a Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite

March 8, 2016 - Nacogdoches, Texas, February 19th, 2016 – Nacogdoches Medical Center today joined a growing number of Texas businesses by becoming designated as a Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite. Mother-Friendly employers proactively support employees who choose to breastfeed their infants by providing time, space, and other supports to maintain breastfeeding after returning to work.

Nacogdoches Medical Center Angel Tree

December 9, 2015 - Each year, Nacogdoches Medical Center staff and physicians come together to make Christmas a little merrier for local children in need. Last year, over 90 children received gifts collected and donated by NMC staff and physicians through our Angel Tree program. Local agencies who have partnered with NMC include CASA, Head Start, Cross Bridge Ranch and Crossover Counseling.

Nacogdoches Medical Center Earned an ‘A’ Grade for Patient Safety

An announcement released nationally by the independent hospital watchdog The Leapfrog Group revealed that Nacogdoches Medical Center earned an “A” in this elite national ratings program and recognized the hospital for its strong commitment to patient safety on Wednesday, October 28th.

Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the first time introduced star ratings on Hospital Compare, the agency’s public information website, to make it easier for consumers to choose a hospital and understand the quality of care they deliver. Today’s announcement builds on a larger effort across HHS to build a health care system that delivers better care, spends health care dollars more wisely, and results in healthier people.
