"Adrenaline Discount Cards" to Support Center MS Athletes

August 23, 2017 - From CISD Athletics:

Center Middle School boy and girl Athletics are currently selling "Adrenaline Discount Cards" for $20 each. There are over $300 in discounts. Some of the vendors participating are: McDonald's, Wrights, Chicken Express, Chaps Bar-b-que, Pineywoods Seafood, The BBQ Joint, Quick Change Oil & Lube, etc.

Please support our student athletes and local businesses by purchasing a card from a student athlete by Monday, August 28.

Center ISD Groups Viewing the Eclipse

August 18, 2017 - Center ISD Elementary and Middle School plans for the eclipse.

  • CES has purchased eclipse viewing glasses for the entire elementary school - that will be cute/fun to watch. (grades 1-3)
  • CMS art classes will be drawing a corona of an eclipse on the 21st very similar to the lesson here: eclipse2017.nasa.gov/predict- corona-art-project
  • Donna Shannon, an 8th grade CMS science teacher, will be streaming the event in her classroom.

Rider Football Scrimmage Benefiting THSCEF Benevolence Fund

August 17, 2017 - Center High School and Tatum High School will be participating in a scrimmage on Thursday, August 24 with all proceeds being donated to the THSCEF Benevolence Fund.

This day has become known as "Our Day to Shine." The THSCEF Benevolence Fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Director to assist athletes and coaches with special needs or hardships.

To date over 900 schools have participated in "Our Day to Shine" and have raised over $422,000.

Lil' Riders Punt, Pass, and Kick Camp, August 17th, Roughrider Stadium

August 16, 2017 - Attention all "Lil Riders": Girls and boys that are entering Kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend the third annual "Lil Rider Punt, Pass, and Kick" camp. The event will be held at 5pm Thursday, August 17th at Roughrider Stadium in Center, Texas.

The varsity football team and coaching staff will work with the kids in throwing, kicking, catching, agility drills, and more. There is no cost to participate, so bring your "Lil Rider" and join the fun! The event is sponsored by the Center Athletic Boosters.

Center ISD Hosting Ribbon Cutting for Agriculture Science Expansion

August 8, 2017 - On April 14, 2016, the Center ISD Board of Trustees approved two projects, an agriculture science building, and tennis facility expansion. After nearly 16 months of planning, preparation, and construction, the district is excited to announce the completion of the agriculture science building. The new expansion project consists of 10,500 square feet to meet the present and future needs of the agriculture science program.
