April is National Distracted Driving Month and with nearly 1 in 5 crashes in Texas involving distracted driving – a ratio that has not changed in the past three years – the Texas Department of Transportation reminds drivers that their undivided attention to the road could save a life.
March 16, 2018 Lufkin – As warmer temperatures and sunny days take over, TxDOT crews are out in all nine counties of the Lufkin District continuing and completing construction and maintenance projects.
As motorists travel through active work zones, they are urged to slow down and stay alert. Move into another lane if there is one available. If no other lane is available, reduce speed by 20 miles per hour below the posted speed limit. Remember that traffic fines double when workers are present.
