July1, 2019 - To celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, the Flags to Fight Hunger American flags will begin to go up beginning Monday, July1st and will fly until Monday, July8th.
Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who support the flag program that celebrates many of our national holidays while raising funds for the Center ISD Backpack Program!
June 28, 2019 - Please remember to register for the Daniels School Reunion. It is not too late, A notice was sent to indicate that early registrants will receive a token for a great effort to participate before June 23. As always noted, this event is for anyone who register, not just the graduates of Daniels class of 68 and those who were juniors. They appreciate those who did make the effort, and will see you there.
June 28, 2019 - Benefit Bake Sale Friday, June 28th at Raymond Motor Company from 9am until 1pm to help Shannon Choate.
Larry’s Story:
Larry was diagnosed with liver cancer on March 28th. They found out May 13th the spot on his liver had tripled in size. There is no medicine or treatment at this time to help him. He also has cirrhosis so that is making his liver issue worse. He is no longer able to work because he gives out so easily. Sadly, Larry passed on May 28th.
June 26, 2019 - St. Mark CME Church of Shelbyville will be hosting a fish plate fundraiser on Friday, June 28, 2019. Starting from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Union Acre, 818 Cotton Ford Rd.
Plates will be $8 and will include: Fried Fish, baked beans, potato salad, dessert and a drink.
June 26, 2019 - The Shelby County Young Professionals Network hosted a Clay Shoot at Hawkeye Hunting Club on June 25th 2019. This was the first Scholarship Fundraiser for the Young Professionals Network.
June 25, 2019 Waco - Elizabeth Chadwick, a 2015 Center HS Graduate, was among the nearly 3,000 graduates who Baylor University conferred degrees on during spring commencement exercises May 17-18, in the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus.
Chadwick achieved a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Health, Kinesiology, and Leisure Studies.
June 24, 2019 - The Pleasant Mountain Boys, from Mt. Pleasant, Tx., will be the musical entertainment for the Tenaha July 4th celebration. This group has been singing for over twenty years.
