July 19, 2019 - The Family of Donna Moore McSwain held a raffle to help with medical expenses. Donna was very sick with a life threatening pneumonia and is still recovering. The raffle drawing was held on July 10 at the Shelby County Today office. Winners received various items that were donated from local businesses. 

July 17, 2019 - Two local businesses got together to show their support of first responders on Tuesday, July 16 by delivering them a meal.

July 16, 2019 - The Golden Harvest Ministries Club met Monday, July 15, 2019 in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church at 11:30am. There was a musical program presented by Charles and Judy DeLaney.

July 11, 2019 - The 30th Annual East Texas What-A-Melon Festival opening ceremonies were held under the main tent on the Center square Thursday, July 11, 2019.
