November 20, 2017 - On November 20, 2017, The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service - Shelby Family & Community Health (FCH) Committee was presented $5,000 for adult and youth programming promoting the health and well-being of low-income individuals in the Superior Health Plan community. Several hundred grant applications across the state of Texas were submitted for consideration.

November 17, 2017 - The Pineywoods Board of Realtors are hosting a Holiday Food Drive with donations going to the local food bank for the Christmas Holiday.

There is a large need for food donations in order to compose "food boxes" which feed local people in need. The board is asking for non-perishable or canned goods to be donated.

November 16, 2017 - Shelby County Memorial VFW Post 8904 and the Auxiliary are proud to announce the winners of this year’s youth essay contests.
