SC Historical Society Meeting, Guest Speaker Larry Hume

October 17, 2017 - The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Mr. Larry Hume. He will be speaking to us about World War I. It is the 100th anniversary and he will tell us what is being done in Shelby County in remembrance of this time of our history. Everyone is invited to attend.

Used Books Needed for Fall Book Sale

October 4, 2017 - Friends of the Library are asking for donations of gently used paperback and hardback books in good condition.

No encyclopedias, please. Books may be brought to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library during regular library hours. The books will be sold in the fall book sale to be held Tuesday, October 24 through Saturday, October 28.
