July 5, 2024 - Pineywoods Beverage made a donation on July 2, 2024, to VFW Post 8904 in honor of Memorial Day, 2024. 

July 2, 2024 - Geaux Bags were delivered to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department on July 2, 2024 when K.C. Kilpatrick, founder and executive director of Geaux 4 Kids, was joined by other volunteers and supporters in delivering Geaux Bags to Shelby County.

July 1, 2024 - Order of the Eastern Star (OES) Newbern #1135 held their officer installation ceremony on Monday, June 24, 2024 in the Masonic Lodge in Arcadia. Brandy Filz was installed as Worthy Matron and Mark Tidwell was installed as Worthy Patron. Stellar Walker was installed as Associate Matron and Charlie Brittain as Associate Patron. Additional officers installed are Grace Stockstill as Conductress, Carole Ann Chance as Secretary, and Adam Jernigan as Warder.
