Princess Ball 2024 Offers Two Opportunities

January 3, 2023 - Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center’s Princess Ball will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1-3pm or 5-7pm at the John D. Windham Civic Center.

Aurora Concepts' Food Drive Collects 195 Lbs of Food; Basket Winners Drawn

December 22, 2023 - Christina Dux and her staff at Aurora Concepts collected 195 pounds of food for the people of Shelby county at their food drive!

Winners of the baskets were: Gayla Miller, Joyce Danley, Haley Parish, and Maricela Hernandez.

Kathy Luna Among Midwestern State University's Fall Honor Rolls

December 22, 2023 - Kathy Luna, of Center, Texas, made the Provost's Honor Roll at the Midwestern State University for the Fall Semester. Luna's major is Radiologic Technology.

Midwestern State University recognized 1,040 honor students for the Fall 2023 semester. The President's Honor Roll included 400 students, the Provost's Honor Roll included 297 students and the Dean's Honor Roll included 343 students.

Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library Holiday Hours

December 20, 2023 - The Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library would like to inform the public of our holiday hours.

The Library will close at 2pm on Friday, December 22, will be closed on Saturday, December 23 through Tuesday, December 26th, and will reopen on Wednesday, December 27, at 10am.

The library will close on Friday, December 29 at 2pm, remain closed December 30 through January 1st, and reopen on January 2nd at 10am.
