October 18, 2021 – Attorney General Ken Paxton today announced the formation of his 2021 Texas Election Integrity Unit, which is a concentrated effort to devote agency lawyers, investigators, support staff, and resources to ensuring this local election season—which begins with early voting today, Monday, October 18—is run transparently and securely. The Integrity Unit’s primary function is to serve as a focused resource to both election officials and the public.

October 15, 2021 - I challenge any of you readers who have grown children to do what I did recently. I asked my grown daughter what she considered to be the worst punishment that we meted out to her while a youngster. I was shocked at her answer, as this incident had drifted off to the far corners of my mind.

October 14, 2021 - Grace and peace from our friend and brother Jesus. My newsletter is late this week because my dog Sam and I went to Dallas after church Sunday. We stayed with my daughter and her sweet dog Stella, which meant a human and canine great time. Megan had to work Monday, so I met my brother and sister-in-law for breakfast. We had a nice meal while getting caught up. I went over to their house afterwards to see all the things Mary has done to their yard and patio area. It looks really pretty.
