March 16, 2016 - AUSTIN – Eastbound lanes of I-10 were closed early Wednesday at the Texas-Louisiana state line as rising floodwaters from excessive rainfall covered the interstate. Louisiana officials had halted westbound traffic earlier on Tuesday when water from the swollen Sabine River went across those lanes on the Texas side. March 16, 2016 - The space shuttle, officially called the Space Transportation System (STS), began its flight career with Columbia’s lift off from Launch Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on April 12, 1981. (Update 4:45pm)The Sabine River is not rising as quickly as was anticipated on I-10 at the TX/LA border, so it was reopened about noon today.
As 1:30 pm, the I-10 westbound lanes were closed at the LA/TX border. I-10 eastbound lanes remain open for now. US 190 is also open at the present time.
