Hoyt Attends State Powerlifting Meet

April 8, 2015 - Recently, Center High School Senior, Devincent Hoyt, under the coaching of Bryan Clay, attended the State Powerlifting Meet in Abilene. Devincent has had a successful career in powerlifting that has taken him post-season level multiple times.

Center HS FFA Forestry Team Advances to State

April 7, 2015 - On Thursday, April 2nd the Center FFA Forestry team competed at a 5 county district contests against over 25 other teams and over 100 individual students. Results are as follows:

April 7, 2015 - The Center Roughriders Special Olympics Team participated in the Gilmer Track meet on April 2nd. The Roughriders brought home multiple medals in the following races:

Center HS Golf Teams Advance to Regional

April 7, 2015 - The Center Roughrider and Lady Rider golf teams will advance to the regional tournament after placing second in their respective divisions in the District 19-4A tournament held on Thursday, 4/2/15 and Monday, 4/6/15 at Wood Hollow Golf Club in Longview.

CHS FFA Forage Team Advances to Area

April 6, 2015 - The Center High School FFA Forage Judging Team traveled to Lindale on Wednesday, April 1st for District Contest. The team placed 2nd overall, beating out some teams that were already ranked in the top ten of the state. Madison McMillian was ranked as the 5th high-point individual.

Team members are all Freshmen-Kaden LaRock, Emma Locke, Madison McMillian, and Lexi Moody. They are sponsored by Jerrett Cobb. They will be traveling to Sam Houston State University on Thursday, April 9th for the Area contest.

Center ISD Accepting Transfers

April 1, 2015 - Center ISD is now accepting transfers in grades K-12 for the 2015-2016 school year. Forms may be obtained from the Center ISD Administrative Office at 107 Private Road 605, or visiting the school’s website at www.centerisd.org or calling 598-5642 and the forms can be mailed out to you. The deadline is Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 3pm.

Center HS Boys Soccer Advance to Area

March 30, 2015 - On Friday, March 27th, the Center Roughrider Varsity Boys Soccer team traveled to Crockett High School to take on the Mexia Blackcats. In the first half of play, the Riders went ahead 2-0 with goals by Senior Captain, Gilberto Vega and Freshmen Marcos Lopez. The boys put up a great defense and were able to hold the Blackcats scoreless as they entered the second half of play.

Center HS Vet Med Tours Caldwell Zoo in Tyler

March 25, 2015 - On Tuesday, March 24th, the Center Vet Med class traveled to Tyler, Texas to tour the Caldwell Zoo. The tour started by walking the zoo from a spectator point-of-view, then they met up with a Zoo employee (Mrs. Judy who has worked in Zoos for over 30 years). She took the students behind the scenes.
