February 25, 2015 - Center FFA works hard to build leadership, scholarship and character, as well as, to teach marketable job skills in the youth of Center, Texas. We are building a program that provides FFA members the opportunity to learn marketable skills that will benefit them beyond high school, while at the same time, building self-confidence, leadership, communication skills and record-keeping skills.
February 19, 2015 - Center Middle School Junior Beta Club attended the annual Texas State Convention held in Grapevine, Texas on February 16-17, 2015 at The Texas Gaylord.
February 13, 2015 - A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of Center Independent School District (CISD) was held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at CISD Administration Board Room located at 107 Private Road 605 Center, Texas 75935.

James Greer called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and declared a quorum.
February 13, 2015 - Kamryn Holt and Esther Mergerson traveled to Kilgore on January 27th to serve as leaders in a Region 7 Model United Nations competition. They were chosen for these leadership positions following an interview process. The process included writing a two page essay on what leadership means to them and how they could contribute and an online face to face interview. The girls did an amazing job in representing our district.
February 13, 2015 - The Center High School Boys and Girls Powerlifting teams traveled to the Huntington Invitational and continued on their journey to success with the boys team placing first overall and the girls placing 3rd overall. Individual results were as follows:
February 4, 2015 - The Center High School Beta Club recently attended the State Convention in San Antonio, Texas. While attending the State Convention, a large group of students participated in multiple events. Maria Gamez, CHS Sophomore competed in the Spanish Competition and placed first.
February 4, 2015 - Livestock Shows are a way of life for many families. FFA students purchase livestock projects (pigs, chickens, goats, lambs, rabbits, heifers, and steers) that they feed daily, take care of, and show throughout the year in hopes of "making the sale" and being rewarded for their awesome efforts. Although the "prize money" isn't the real reward; responsibility, time management, hard work and dedication are, it does make things a little more fun when the students are successful in their efforts.
