August 13, 2020 - Vaccine Clinic for incoming 7th graders at the Center Middle School Thursday, August 21, 2020 at 12-2:30pm. Students must be up to date with vaccines in order to be able to start school on August 24th.
August 11, 2020 - Matthew Mettauer, School Board President, opened the Center ISD School Board meeting August 11, 2020, by reading aloud a question from an unnamed individual who had concerns over the school opening during the pandemic.
August 11, 2020 - Registration for the 20-21 school year will remain open through Thursday, August 20th at 4:30 pm. Registration/Enrollment packets will be available at all Center ISD campuses.
Any parent/guardian that did not complete the Instructional Method Survey in July or returned a completed Virtual packet by 5:30 pm Friday, August 7th will only have the choice of the IN-PERSON instructional method for their child for the first (1) nine (9) week grading period of the 20-21 school year.
August 7, 2020 - Center ISD has determined certain Career and Technical (CTE) classes require a portion of the course be completed on-campus. These courses require specialized equipment, direct supervision of hands-on activities, and/or specific materials and technology. The appropriate amount of on-campus instruction needed to meet the TEKS and award course credit will vary by course.
August 4, 2020 - Center ISD will be conducting their annual Substitute Orientation on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in the High School Cafeteria from 8 until Noon. All district substitutes are required to report for this training to go over district policies including COVID-19 procedures, realignment changes, and be prepared for the upcoming school year. August 17, 2020 - Center Middle School Meet the Teacher schedule is as follows:
6th Grade -- August, 17th from 12:00-4:00
7th Grade -- August, 18th from 12:00-4:00
8th Grade -- August, 19th from 12:00-4:00
The design of CMS Meet the Teacher will be different this year. Instead of one date and limited time, each grade level will have times specified for students and parents to come and visit with their teacher and walk through their schedule.
July 29, 2020 - Center Middle School is excited to announce that we will be offering Principles of Agricultural to our 8th grade students for the upcoming school year. This class is a prerequisite class for any student that plans on taking Agricultural classes in high school. Examples of these classes would include Welding, Small Animal Management, Vet Med, and Floral Design.
