August 12, 2024 - Across Shelby County, the 2024-2025 school year is underway with five of the local schools having started. Tenaha and Timpson started their school year last week. For Center Christian Academy, Joaquin, and Shelbyville the new school year started today, August 12. Tomorrow, Center and Excelsior will start and finalize the back-to-school season.

Perkins – Title I, Part C and IDEA-B. Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Principals, Other School Personnel, Parents, Community Members and Business Representatives are invited to attend the 2024-2025 ESSA Consolidated Application meeting on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 5:30p.m. -- JISD Administration Building Board Room.
