Joaquin City Hall Phones, Internet Service Restored (Updated)

As of 3:11pm today, phone and internet service has been restored to Joaquin City Hall. Thank you for your patience during the outage.

April 30, 2025 - Joaquin City Hall is open today, April 30, 2025. However phones and internet are down due to a truck breaking the fiber lines. 

The city is taking cash and check payments at the office. 

Please make all credit card payments via their website payment system.

DPS Confirms Search at Constable Property; Social Media Rumors Unsubstantiated

April 25, 2025 - Amid rampant speculation by the community on Social Media regarding a search performed yesterday, April 24, 2025 on the property of Shelby County Constable Precinct 4 Josh Tipton, the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed some basic information.

There is an investigation by the Texas Rangers in conjunction with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department which did include a dive team performing a search on the property of Constable Tipton.
