January 6, 2023 - On January 4, 2023, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Denning Rural Water Supply, #2030004, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
January 5, 2023 - A poultry farm located on CR 3047 was the scene of a three house fire December 29, 2022, and two fire departments responded to the scene.
January 5, 2023 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a 4-wheeler. On or about December 28, 2022, a Grizzly 550 4x4 4-wheeler was removed from a deer lease in the Hollow Rock area located in the Silas/Stockman community.
