City of Tenaha Public Water System Rescinds Boil Water Notice for 5 Roads

April 1, 2022 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Tenaha public water system, 2100002, to issue a Boil Water Notice on March 30, 2022, to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Internet Outage Affecting Phone Lines, Credit Card Processing

April 1, 2022 - ATT reports there is an outage in the Center area.

"There's an internet outage in your area that has impacted your service. We're working as fast as we can to get you back online. We expect to have it fixed in 7-8 hours."

The above message was part of an email sent out to its customers, many of which have phone lines which operate over the internet and the outage has affected their phone service.

Also, be prepared to have cash if visiting a business, because they may not be able to process a credit card.

N.E.W. Water System Rescinds Boil Water Notice

The water on N.E.W. WSC no longer requires boiling.

March 30, 2022 - On March 22, 2022, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the N.E.W. Water Supply, #2030034, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Updated: At 10:13am, the National Weather Service in Shreveport issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern De Soto Parish in northwestern Louisiana... Southeastern Panola County in northeastern Texas... Southeastern Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas... Shelby County in eastern Texas... Northeastern Angelina County in eastern Texas... Northern San Augustine County in eastern Texas... and Northwestern Sabine County in eastern Texas.

The severe thunderstorm warning is until 11:00am.

Tornado Watch Has Been Cancelled

March 30, 2022 - National Weather Service has cancelled the tornado watch for Shelby County.

Tornado Watch 75 is in effect until 1pm CDT for the following locations.

Texas counties included are: Bowie, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Panola, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Upshur, and Wood.
