April, 5, 2018 - State Highway 87 south of Shelbyville was the scene of a three-vehicle crash which also involved a boat on Wednesday, April 5, 2018.

Jury Cancellation for 123rd District Court

April 5, 2018 - The jury that has been summoned for Monday, April 9, 2018 for the 123rd District Court Honorable Leann Kay Rafferty presiding has been cancelled due to the scheduled cases being resolved or passed.

Anyone receiving a summons for that day is released from jury service until they receive a future summons.

U.S. 84 Scene of Two-Vehicle 18-Wheeler Crash

April 5, 2018 - U.S. Highway 84 outside of Tenaha was the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving 18-wheelers Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

Tenaha Volunteer Fire Department personnel were on scene to assist with the crash and direct traffic around the scene.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Western Natchitoches Parish in northwestern Louisiana; Sabine Parish in northwestern Louisiana; Southeastern Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas; Southeastern Shelby County in eastern Texas; Eastern Angelina County in eastern Texas; San Augustine County in eastern Texas; and Sabine County in eastern Texas until 5:15pm CDT.

Tornado Warning Issued for Shelby, Panola Counties

3:58 PM CDT Tuesday, April 3, 2018

April 3, 2018 - The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Tornado Warning for Southeastern Panola County in northeastern Texas and Northwestern Shelby County in eastern Texas until 4:30pm CDT.

At 3:58 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Timpson, or 8 miles northwest of Center, moving east at 40 mph.

April 3, 2018 - The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, Norman, OK issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch at 10:25am CDT Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

Shelby County Man Sent to Hospital Following San Augustine Crash

April 2, 2018 - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a one-vehicle roll-over crash on FM 3329 near SH 103 on March 31.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 8:20 p.m., a 2003 Toyota pickup was traveling north on FM 3329 when the truck drove off the roadway to the right, over corrected to the left and overturned off the west side of the roadway; ejecting the driver.
