February 2, 2024 - Commissioner Smith reports the roadway is repaired and open to traffic again.

February 1, 2024 - Stevie Smith, Commissioner Precinct 3, announces CR 3590 will be closed on the east end Friday, February 2, from 8am until 12-noon.

January 30, 2024 - At 3:23pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Timpson ISD posted on their Facebook page, "Timpson ISD was made aware of a potential situation in the area and went into a complete lockdown in a matter of seconds. The lockdown lasted for less than 10 minutes. At this time there is no threat to any Timpson ISD campus."

January 29, 2024 - Over the week of January 21st through 27th the Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department had 5 calls. Here’s a summary of the week’s events.

January 25, 2024 - Timpson Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) responded to a house fire on CR 4772 outside of Timpson on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Fire personnel were dispatched to the fire at 9:22am and when they arrived the structure was fully involved.

January 24, 2024 - The water on San Augustine Rural WSC no longer requires boiling.

On January 17, 2024, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the San Augustine Rural Public Water System, #2030007, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
