March 2, 2024 - The 2024 Shelby County Livestock sale is underway at the John D. Windham Civic Center and results will be updated as the auction progresses. The results are unofficial and official results will be published once they are available.

February 29, 2024 — The largest wildfire in Texas history is actively burning today. The Smokehouse Creek Fire in Hutchinson County is burning a total of 1,075,000 acres across Texas and Oklahoma and is 3% contained.

February 21, 2024 - TxDOT would like to express its heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Audrii Cunningham whose body was discovered Tuesday near US 59 at the Trinity River Bridge in Polk County.

January 24, 2024 - Center ISD administrators have been monitoring the weather very closely all day. We have driven roads and found many to be impassable. The forecast is calling for more rain throughout the night with possible thunderstorms. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, Center ISD is cancelling school, as well as all practices and competitions scheduled for tomorrow. The safety of our students and employees is our top priority. 

Our plans are to return to school on Friday at our regularly scheduled times.
