June 13, 2017 - The water on San Augustine Rural WSC no longer requires boiling.

On May 26, May 28 and June 6, 2017, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the San Augustine Rural public water system, #2030007, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

May 24, 2017 - Timpson ISD Bear Update Alert

A Timpson ISD school bus was hit by another vehicle this morning. Students and driver were examined at a medical facility and were released. Thank you to the first responders and law enforcement.

May 8, 2017 - Shelby County Today was saddened to hear of the passing of Ed Roberts on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Besides the lives he touched personally and being a long time police officer with the Center Police Department, Roberts' life impacted many families throughout Shelby County for 36 years. Many may not have known him personally but they appreciated the spirit of the man who was the driving force of "Santa Ride's a Motorcycle."
