October 6, 2025 — Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) announced Free College Application Week October 13-19, 2025.
"Texas prioritizes opportunities for students to pursue the best education they need to succeed in high demand, good-paying jobs after graduation," said Governor Abbott. "During free college application week, Texans can apply to their preferred colleges or universities without application fees. By supporting our students today, we are investing in a stronger Texas tomorrow."
The water on Denning Rural WSC no longer requires boiling.
October 3, 2025 - On September 29, 2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Denning Rural Water Supply, #2030004, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
September 25, 2025 - The water on N.E.W. WSC no longer requires boiling.
On September 23, 2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the N.E.W. Water Supply, #2030034, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
September 24, 2025 - On September 22, 2025 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Tenaha public water system, PWS # 2100002, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
