February 26, 2024 - The Shelbyville Dragons defeated Douglass in the Area Playoffs and will play the Timpson Bears on Feb. 27 at Tenaha High School at 7pm.

Admission is $6 Adults  $4 Students. District and Coaches passes accepted.

January 22, 2024 - S.W. Carter Elementary announces the Third - Six Weeks Honor Roll for the 2023–2024 school year.

January 18, 2024 - On January 9-10, Shelbyville Speech and Debate students Maddie Lout and Travis Caporali competed in the U.I.L. state congress competition held at the University of Texas in Austin and the Texas Capitol Building. Both students advanced to the finals with Travis Caporali finishing in the top 10 and Maddie Lout placing 4th in division AA.

While the actual competition takes place over the span of two days with fourteen hours of speaking, students spend months preparing their speeches to be delivered in a mock legislative process of democracy.
