May 5, 2021 - Molly Windham has been competing in academic UIL since she was in elementary school. As a freshman, at the district meet she competed in One Act Play and all five journalism events: News Writing, Feature Writing, Editorial Writing, Headline Writing, and Copy Editing.
May 5, 2021 - Trey Smith has been competing in academic UIL since he was in elementary school. As a freshman, he placed third in Accounting, was a member of the second place Accounting team, and competed at the 2A Academic UIL Regional Meet in Accounting.
April 26, 2021 - Parents of students living outside the Shelbyville Independent School District who wish their children to attend Shelbyville Schools during the 2021-2022 school year must request transfer no later than June 1, 2021. This applies to both old and new transfer students. New transfers who are approved will be required to pay tuition to attend.
