August 5, 2020 - Texas Super Regional Dixie tournament was played in Center this past weekend. The rams played 4 games scoring 65 runs and only giving up 6 runs. 12U Rams will play for the Texas State Championship in Longview August 14-16.
July 29, 2020 - The Joaquin Rams Football season begins with a scrimmage against Logansport for both Varsity and JV on August 21, 2020 at 6pm in Logansport. Junior High games start September 10th at home against Groveton. Homecoming is schedule for September 25th against Clarksville and district games begin in October.

July 27, 2020 - To all Center high school girl athletes in high school, grades 9-12: The first Lady Roughrider volleyball practice will be Monday, August 3rd and will go from 8am to 11am.
Everyone who is interested needs to meet at the high school gym at 7:45am. Bring your own water bottle and shoes.

July 22, 2020 - Physicals for Center Roughrider Athletes entering the 7th grade or new incoming transfers to the district are available Monday, July 27th starting at 7:30am in the High School gym. The cost is $15 and the physicals are being done by Aurora Concepts Family Medical Practice.
July 13, 2020 - The Tenaha ISD football season is set to begin August 14th against Kerens in a scrimmage. Due to the pandemic, the school will evaluate the schedule on a week by week basis and will advise the public of any changes.
As of a meeting held Monday morning, the first scrimmage probably will not happen. However, if or when changes are definite, an updated schedule will be released.
June 29, 2020 - The CISD Athletic Department is ending all strength and conditioning activities until July 13th as a precautionary measure. Athletic facilities will be closed. We will resume activities as scheduled the week of July 13th.
June 18, 2020 - KeAmodre Horace, a senior at Center High School set to graduate in 2021, is making headlines on 247sports.com.
The article highlights Horace receiving a scholarship offer from Fresno State Bulldogs in California and says, "Horace, a 5-foot-9 and 195-pound running back with a three-star rating, also holds offers from North Texas, Texas Southern, Texas State and UTSA. He has emerged this offseason after a junior year of 2,116 yards on 178 carries for 11.9 yards per rush to go with 26 touchdowns."
June 9, 2020 - On Thursday, June 11th, at 11:00 a.m., the University Scholastic League will host a virtual awards presentation to honor Shelbyville High School’s 2020 Boys State Basketball Championship season. The online Zoom presentation will honor the Shelbyville Dragon coaches, players, and school for their fourth Boys State Basketball State Championship in school history. Mario Osby, Shelbyville High School Principal, will be the Dragon’s featured speaker.
