February 22, 2016 - The Joaquin High School softball game scheduled for today February 22, 2016 vs. Shelbyville has been cancelled.

February 22, 2016 - Two Center Roughrider Powerlifters qualified to compete in the Region III Division II Powerlifting meet after competing at the Bullard meet on February 20th. Witt Dockens won 2nd place in the 181 lb class and JaCarlos Hall won 3rd place in the 165 lb class. The Regional meet will be held on March 3rd at Lindale High School.

The Lady Riders placed 11th as a team at the Bullard meet.

February 20, 2016 - On Tuesday, February 23, Center Varsity Softball will play the Lady Mavericks at the Roughrider Stadium beginning at 4:30 p.m.

There will be no JV game.

February 19, 2016 - Bi-District Joaquin Basketball Boy's Playoff Game in Tenaha, TX against Alto on Tuesday, February 23rd at 7:00pm. Adults will be charged $5 at the gate, and children $3. Passes: THSCA & TABC only.

February 19, 2016 - The Center Varsity tennis team competed in a 16 team tournament hosted by Kilgore and the Riders finished 3rd place overall with strong finishes in a number of events.

February 19, 2016 - The Center HS Lady Rider softball team advance in the 2016 Lady Hornet Softball Tournament with their 5-1 win over Tatum on Thursday evening, February 18th.  Congratulations to Mekayla Hubbard who hit a solo home run in the game.

The Lady Riders will play today, February 19th at 10:45am against Madisonville and at 5:45pm versus New Waverly. Admission cost is adults $5 and students $3. Tournament passes are available and are $12 for adults and $8 for students. No refunds will be given due to rain outs. The tournament is being hosted in Lufkin at the Kit McConnico Park located at 903 Old Moffett Road and at the Morris Frank Park located at 513 Windsor Road.

The tournament is being hosted in Lufkin at the Kit McConnico Park located at 903 Old Moffett Road and at the Morris Frank Park located at 513 Windsor Road. 

The Lady Riders will play their next game tonight, February 18th at 7:30pm against Tatum. Admission cost is adults $5 and students $3. Tournament passes are available and are $12 for adults and $8 for students. No refunds will be given due to rain outs.

February 18, 2016 - Lady Riders are proud to announce they won their game one, against Hemphill, 5 to 4. This is the first game in the two day softball tournament in Lufkin on Feb 18th and 19th. Next game will be tonight at 7:30. Admission cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Adult tournament pass is $12, student pass is $8. No refunds will be given due to rain outs. John Packard and Josh Sowell with winning limit of bass anchored by overall big bass of the tournamentFebruary 18, 2016 - The Shelby County Bass Anglers kicked off the 2016 tournament season with a Sam Rayburn Showdown sponsored by General Shelters. Josh Sowell and John Paul Packard set the pace with a winning sack of 23 lbs anchored by the largest bass of the event weighing 8.32 lbs. Coming in second was the father son team of Wayne and Matt Wood with an impressive limit of bass weighing 20.05 lbs. Despite being new to the club, the team of Rusty Hatcher and Chad Loupe showed their skills capturing the third place limit of bass weighing 19.40 lbs. Rounding out the money slots was the Skeeter Boats team of Matt and Wayne Wood with a second place finishMichael Andrews and Lane Jackson with a weight of 18.61 lbs. The team of Frank and Selvin Cartwright caught the second overall big bass of 7.99 lbs. The team combo pot was won by Sowell/ Packard teamed up with Andrews/ Jackson with a combined weight of 41.61 lbs.

The next event for the SCBA is scheduled for March 12-13th out of Holly Park Marina on Toledo Bend with a pre-tournament meeting set for Tuesday March 8th at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Center.
