June 18, 2024 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the whereabouts of Willie Woods, Jr., 28, of Timpson. Woods is described as a 6’0” black male and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Woods has active warrants for Theft by Deception.

Sheriff's Office Thanks Supporters of Appreciation Luncheon

May 10, 2024 - The staff at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office enjoyed an appreciation luncheon on May 9, in honor of National Telecommunicators Week (April 14-20), National Correctional Officers Week (May 5-11) and upcoming National Law Enforcement Week (May 12-18). SC Sheriff's Department Seeks Center Woman on Theft Warrant

May 10, 2024 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the whereabouts of Tammy Sue Sims, 41, of Center. Sims is described as a 5’5 inch white female and weighs approximately 165 pounds.

Sims has an active warrant for theft, a state jail felony offense.

March 8, 2024 - Shelby County Sheriff Kevin W. Windham reports the arrest of Tiffany Parker, 26, of Shelbyville, and Elizabeth Barton, 27, of Shelbyville.

Missing Joaquin Man Found Safe

February 27, 2024 - (Update: 3:37pm) The Sheriff's Office reports Yount has been found and is safe. Additional details have not been provided relating to where he was located.

Sheriff Reports In Custody Death Under Investigation

January 17, 2024 - Shelby County Sheriff Kevin W. Windham reports the in custody death of James Jackson, 60, of Center. Jackson passed away January 17, 2024 at approximately 5:35 a.m. The Texas Rangers have been called in and are investigating the situation.

January 12, 2024 - Huxley 9-1-1 service has been restored.

January 11, 2024 - 9-1-1 services for the Huxley Community are unavailable at this time. East Tex Telephone advised this is a fiber optic issue and a restoration time has not been announced.
