December 23, 2021 (Click here for boys/girls bracket) - Holiday Day Hoops Tournament is set for December 27, 28, and 29 and this year marks the 12th Annual edition of what is widely recognized as the state’s premier small classification invitational basketball tournament.
December 22, 2021 - The Pine Terrace Property Owners Association are proud to announce the winners of the 2021 Christmas Lights contest. Donna Holt, president of the association, was excited about the number of Pine Terrace home owners who decorated this year which made it a hard decision to pick the winners. She expressed that so many did a wonderful job!
December 22, 2021 - Jared Tovar achieved the honor of being listed on the Dean's List of scholars at the University of North Texas (UNT) for the 2021 Fall Semester. He also achieved the same honor for the 2021 Spring Semester.

December 16, 2021 - A two-vehicle crashed blocked both lanes of U.S. Highway 96 north at the intersection of FM 2026 (Folsom Chapel Road) on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 and caused traffic to backup.
December 15, 2021 - Pineywoods Outreach Center celebrated its re-opening on Saturday, December 11th with community members, the Chamber of Commerce, and families.
