January 31, 2021 - The Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard reported 139 active cases on Saturday, January 30, 2021. The report included 4 new cases and 9 new recoveries.
The active cases have been over 100 since January 7th; however, they are steadily coming back down and getting closer to the double digits which is good considering January included several days with active cases over 200.
January 29, 2021 - The Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard reported 144 active cases on Friday, January 29, 2021.
Since the last report on Wednesday, a total of 22 new cases were reported along with 2 new deaths and 20 new recoveries. Of the two days of new cases, 7 were confirmed cases and 15 were probable cases.
January 28, 2021 - Many Shelby County graduates were among the students honored for their academic achievements at Stephen F. Austin State University during five different commencement ceremonies in Johnson Coliseum on December 11 and 12.
In a previous SFA press release, Dr. Scott Gordon, SFA President said, “We and our students were heartbroken when we had to cancel the May and August ceremonies, so we have been planning for and looking forward to this ceremony for months.” Gordon, president of SFA since August 2019, served as commencement speaker for each ceremony.
Update: The Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard reported Wednesday, January 27, 2021, a total of 4 new cases and 4 new recoveries leaving the active case count at 144.

Janaury 25, 2021 - According to the Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard, there were no changes to the numbers reported Monday from yesterday's report for Shelby County.
January 25th (5:20pm) Numbers:
Total Confirmed Cases - 791 (0 new cases)
Total Probable Cases - 545 (0 new cases)
Total Fatalities - 46
Total Estimated Active Cases - 230
Total Estimated Recovered - 1,060
Update: According to the Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard, the only change since Saturday's report was the addition of 7 new recoveries and a new active case count of 230.
January 24th (3:05pm) Numbers:

Total Probable Cases - 545 (0 new cases)
Total Fatalities - 46
Total Estimated Active Cases - 230
Total Estimated Recovered - 1,060 (7 new)
January 21, 2021 - The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard added 14 new cases of COVID-19 and 62 new estimated recoveries lowering the active case count to 127.
Of the new cases, 6 were confirmed cases and 8 were probable cases.
January 21st (4:05pm) Numbers:
Total Confirmed Cases - 771 (6 new cases)
Total Probable Cases - 529 (8 new cases)
Total Fatalities - 46

January 20, 2021 - The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard added 8 new cases of COVID-19 and 1 new death for a total of 46 fatalies.
Of the new cases, all 8 were probable case.
No new recoveries were reported.
