October 3, 2020 - The 44th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival Broiler Show is completed and the winners have been announced. 2020 Grand Champion of the show is Jacie Lee.
The Reserve Grand Champion of the show is Laura Anne Scull.
October 1, 2020 - The Shelby County Sheriff's Department is reported to have had an incident involving an inmate on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
As information released by the Center Police Department was deemed inaccurate by the Sheriff's Department relating to an incident in the Shelby County Jail, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding the report which involved the inmate on September 19, 2020.
September 30, 2020 - Center ISD Elementary School campus has reported another positive case of COVID-19. In response to this occurence, Center ISD has issued letters to parents, guardians and staff members regarding the cases. September 28, 2020 - Friday night during the pregame coronation ceremonies, the Timpson High School 2020 Homecoming Queen was announced to be Kay'Unna Curtis. Congratulations Ms. Curtis!
The Timpson Bears went on to defeat the James Bowie Pirates 55 to 6.
September 23, 2020 - Tenaha ISD has announced restrictions for pep rally activities. Attention parents and community! Due to COVID 19 precautions this Friday’s pep rally will be closed to the public. This includes parents and family members.
