James Antioch Community Regular Meeting

October 10, 2017 - The James Antioch Community will have a regular monthly meeting Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 6:30pm. We will carry-in a covered dish for the meal. In the business meeting we will make plans for a fund raiser. Come with your good ideas and then stay for some games and socialization.

Bobbie Nutt Shows Her Winning Quilt at XYZ Homemaker's Club

November 21, 2016 - Bobbie Nutt brought her quilt that she won at the Texas Extension Education Association State Conference to the XYZ Homemakers Club at the regular November meeting held at Walter and Ellen's house.

September 20, 2016 - Peaches Conway, Jenny Salter and Sylvia Jackson represented Shelby Extension Education Association at the 2 day State Conference of Texas Extension Education Association in Plano.

May 27, 2016 - Recently the XYZ Homemakers club sold raffle tickets on a quilt they produced. Bobbie Nutt sold the most tickets and one of the tickets she sold was drawn.

Smith Cemetery Association to Host Annual Dinner

April 12, 2016 - The Smith Cemetery Association will have their annual Dinner on the Grounds on Sunday, April 24, 2016. After a short business meeting there will be a carry in dinner starting at 12:30 noon. Members are encouraged to bring contribution for upkeep of the cemetery that is located off Hwy 7 E. Please plan to attend and bring family members for a time of fellowship.

Homemaking Club Yard Sale Fundraiser

March 28, 2016 - The Shelby County Homemaking Club will have a yard sale on Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2, 2016 in the yard of 223 FM 2788. This is near the corner of HWY 7 E and Loop 500. Proceeds from the sales go toward educating homemakers or anyone on how to live healthy and successful lives and how to be wise consumers. For more information contact Dot Golding at 598-2905.

XYZ Homecoming Club Hosting Garage Sale Fundraiser

November 30, 2015 - The XYZ Homemaking Club will have a garage sale at the Jenny Salter's place at 352 CR 4408 on Friday and Saturday (December 4 and 5, 2015) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be signs along the way to help you find your way. Proceeds from the sale help members carry out their goal of extension education for all who need information to live healthy active lives in our world.
